Very hard to write this and I don't know how to say it. So, just say it Harbison and get it over with.

Will passed away tonight at 6:45 pm. It was one of the most peaceful
experiences that I have ever seen. He was in a lot of pain and very tired. He decided that it was time. It's so easy to decide when the decision is done for you. Will was surrounded by friends and family, so many, that the room could barely hold everyone. We were laughing and joking and then Will wasn't there any more. It was a very peaceful death and we are so sorry that it had to happen, but rest assured, there wasn't any pain.

If any one had read this blog, you know that I believe God is good. His blessing was that most of the family was able to say goodbye and share funny stories with Will. He could hear, I believe, up to the end and he's up there laughing still. He died as he lived, on his terms, when he's good and ready. We were well taken care of by the beautiful people up on fourth floor. That's Will's old stomping ground and he felt right at home.

He was loved.

I will write more later, I am burned out.

I want to thank God for lending us Will even for a litle time.

I hope you don't mind but I put a message on my facebook about Will. You guys know that I love you and that I love Will. You are such an inspiration to me, especially Will, so strong even when he was down. I knew that this would be the way that Will would go, when HE was ready. He loved you guys more than anything and I know he wanted to make you proud. Our private conversations often turned to how much he loved you. I will cherish my time and memories I had with him and all the laughter we shared, even the quiet ones due to the vent. I look forward to seeing him again and I know I will. I thank the Lord for letting me have Will in my life! Hope you know I will always be your daughter and will always call you mom and dad. I love you! Be strong! He is at peace!

I know how hard it was to write that blog. Know that you are loved and held in God's hands with Will comforting you all...Still. He will forever live and undoubtedly be the best role model that Kayli will ever know.

Thank you, Terri, for allowing us to be a part of this journey for so long. As I've told many, and I'll tell you now, I feel Will was the closest that I will ever come to experiencing Jesus in human form.

You are free Will; now FLY!

Our deepest sympathies

I am very sorry to hear of Will's passing. I began reading your blog about a year ago but had not been on for a while now. My sympathies go out to you and your family. Will was a graceful person throughout this entire ordeal, for which he certainly could have been bitter. Instead he found something in each day to be thankful for and enjoyed the time with his family. Again, my sympathies to you and the family.

Tom, Terri and family,
Thank you for sharing your lives, love and Willie with us. We have all been inspired by your courage, faith and ability to put things in proper perspective and priorities. I am thankful for the peaceful end but celebrated life of a son, brother, uncle and friend to all.
I know those who came to welcome him home are now enjoying the "willie laugh" we will always hear when recalling our time with him. My thoughts, prayers and strength of knowledge that Willie is in a far better place are with you. I send a big bear hug and again thank you for all you have done for so many through your love and examples. You will be truely blessed for just being you. All my love and support...

What an amazing man. He will be missed by so many. I am grateful to have known him. He was such an example to all who knew him especially in the basketball community. He will live on in the many people he touched. I know my sister and her Jerome basketball teamates would have never been the same without him.

Thank you so much to your whole family for being such great examples. I have grown spiritually and emotionally by you sharing the trails and tribulations that your family has gone through. Will has touched so many lives and will ALWAYS be remembered. I know the loss that you feel from my experiences of loosing a child. There is not a day that goes by that you don't think about them. When I think of Will, I think of all the fun times that we had on the Peds floor from getting KY Jelly all over our hands becuase Will put it there to short sheeting his bed and putting syran wrap over the toilet that only Tom fell for. I know there are so many great memories of him and I just smile and may even laugh thinking of them all. Sending lots of Love to you and wish you all the comfort that you need at this time to get through this.

Terri and Tom, I just want to say that I'm sorry about Will. You are the most amazing, incredible parents. Your love and devotion to your son never ceased to amaze me while you guys hung out with us on IMCU. I sincerely hope to be as good of a parent as you. I'm glad Will's suffering is over but I am sorry he can't be with you for now. I hope you're okay.

Dear Harbison family;
My heart goes out to you as you deal with this difficult transition. You have been such a supportive and loving family. You have been a great example to all CF families. I have enjoyed my association with Will and your family very much. It is difficult as a CF nurse to see our beloved families go through such difficulties. I will always remember Will for his courage and indominable spirit.
God bless you!
