I know this is way early but it's been a long day and I thought while I still have some brains left, I need to blog.
Will's day started with dialysis. Towards the end of the 3 1/2 hours he started getting cramps all over. So they had to hold off getting any more fluids off. The kidney doctors are going to visit tomorrow and they told Tom that they might have to go four days a week instead of the three. We will see what they say.
The doctors found out where the infection is in his body. His white blood count kept going up and so they took blood cultures. The PIC line (the IV site in his arm that is his main IV and has been in his arm for a long time now) got infected. They usually last about this long, so I guess it was due. So they took the line out and put in just a regular IV site on his wrist. Tomorrow they will put in another PIC line. It's quite a procedure and I have explained it before so I won't do it again (I don't want to bore you all with the same explanations over and over). He didn't get off the vent or walk today. The cramping was bad and he was so tired. He slept most of the day.
Tomorrow will be a good day after they get the PIC line in. I'm sure he will get up and walk and he will probably stay off the vent most of the day. Grandma Cherie is coming from Boise for a few days and that will be helpful to Tom and Will.
I had a good day. I went to school this morning and everyone there made me feel so loved. It just filled my heart full up. I missed my school and my classroom. I don't think I got much done because I was visiting too much. I know that's hard for you to believe-me talking to people too much. It was great to be back but I was sure torn all day---did I make the right choice?? Tom helped so much because he has everything under control. Will's in good hands and it will get easier. Every one has been sending me emails giving me support. Thanks to all of you. God sure blessed this family with so much love from our family and friends.
Speaking of great friends, Richard White, our neighbor who just got back from Houston having part of his lung taken out because of a tumor, got the results back and the section isn't cancerous. Isn't that amazing. We just had another miracle. I really feel that God healed him because his doctors told him 99 9/10 percent of a chance that it would be cancerous. Our God is such an awesome God. All the glory goes to Him of course. Well, I did tell Richard that he would do anything for attention. The White's threw an impromptu party to celebrate and I think the whole town was there. So many people had been praying and it was such a great time of just acknowledging God's good works in all of us. CONGRATULATIONS RICHARD we couldn't be happier.
We had a birthday dinner tonight with two birthday girls; Candace, Aaron's daughter, who turned five and my mom, Eileen, who is barely older than Candace. We had a great time and I have pictures to put up for you to see but I can't find my cord. I think they are in one of the boxes I brought home from the apartment. I will start unpacking tomorrow or the next day.
God bless the birthday girls and every one else that reads this.

Thank you for the wonderful blog, Thank you for updates, and thank you for coming back to Hagerman Terri. One problem . . I now have read this blog on Monday evening and will not receive a new blog in the morning when I wake up. What will I do? A person gets used to waking up to the Will Harbison blog spot. Remeber Will and Tom we all miss you very much and can't wait for you to join the rest of us back in Idaho. We all hope it is a good day in Salt Lake for you both. We love you all!
Terri:
I'm so thankful that the source of infection is a relatively easy thing to fix! PICC lines are so nice to have, but they do have an expiration date! I wish that Oklahoma wasn't so far away so that I could come and see everyone. Tell Will that he's in my prayers!

You HAVE been out of the teaching loop for awhile. What would your mentors say to you for saying "I already explained it once. I wont do it again"? Now I say it often, but I teach middle schoolers and typically they aren't listening any more the 2nd and 3rd time than they were the first - so it is merely me conserving wasted energy. I went to the teacher store yesterday and thought of you! Of course I didnt get near as much stuff footin' my own bill. :-) I start tomorrow and am pretty excited. I cant imagine the chaos in your head yesterday when you returned....or in general for that matter. :-) I love you Aunt Terri. I am so proud of you for being strong and doing this. Of course Will needs you, but there is a classroom full of kids who ended up in YOUR class for a reason. There lives are about to be enriched beyond measure because of you.
